Per my promise, here's a handful of pictures of my Granny & Grandpa's titty pink house in Table Rock, Nebraska [albeit a bit blurry, like my memory]. They make me want to sit on the porch and swing the day away. My Gramie & Gramps with Granny & Grandpa in '64 [they're my Gramps' folks]My mom with Granny, same skirt, same year.My mom, uncle Mike & Gramie by the sleeping porch '66.Me, Granny & my brother Jamie Mother's Day '83.My 10th birthday, July '84 [my mom's in the blue sundress holding the doll my Granny made me - and that's my awesome Aunt Elsie's head in her armpit].
I love how Granny matches her house. We have the very same wrought iron curly cues on our deck. Check it out http://midcenturymania.blogspot.com/2009/10/home-is-where-heart-is.html I love all your photos. That looks like a really cool house. Is it still in the family? I always wanted a pink stucco house.
Amazing, Mom's house was painted bright yellow cause grandpa was color blind (the one eye thing helped too). There is a pick of her in her yellow mustang next the yellow house and a yellow cement mixer in the yard. Classy!
Heidi my mom had a pick kitchen - the works. oven, stove top... sink...phone...floor...everything... maybe not frige but everything else. dishwasher...
Gee, our family was cool, our socks never fell down ... I Love the titty pink house ... it was the latest in fireproof siding when Granny picked it out ... Granpa never liked it much, but it did hold the color I must say, still pink to this day...nice stroll Heidi, wish Aunt Elsie's head wasn't in my armpit.
